STEELIN BASES was sent hard from the outside and crossed over before entering the first turn to show the way on the inside, then turned back a bid at the quarter pole and drew clear leaving the turn and then maintained a safe margin to the wire to prove best under right handed crop urging. JURISPRUDENCE was reserved early on the outside and raced in the three path down the backside, made a four wide run and was under a ride by the quarter pole, came five wide into the lane and closed well late to be second best. TRY TO MAKE CENTS was allowed to settle early and traved in the two path to the quarter pole, moved in and had a good finish on the inside. ROYAL SALUTE stalked the winner and made a two wide bid by the quarter pole but flattened out leaving the turn and then faded in the final furlong. THE GREAT OSCAR chased the pace on the inside, saved ground to the quarter pole, came two wide off the bend and angled out by the furlong marker but had no kick. SPIRIT OF THE LAW was reserved on the inside and saved ground throughout, angled out in upper stretch and had a belated rally. ETON was three wide into the first turn, rated between rivals and was coaxed along midway on the far turn and was two wide by the quarter pole but weakened. BIG BOB was settled back early, three to four wide on the far turn but lacked a rally. SIMO was reserved early, two to three wide on the far turn and was not a threat. STARSHIP MAGELLAN was outrun while four to five wide and was never a factor. MISSION HILL was four wide into the first turn, chased the pace on the outside and was three wide on the far turn and tired.
