ITALIAN WINE pressed the pace from the outside and made a two to three wide bid on the turn, dueled for command off the turn and continued to the furlong grounds and then slowly edged clear late to prove best under a drive. VALUE INTHE CLOUDS set a pressured pace on the inside and then was headed on the turn and dueled with the winner off the bend, continued on to the furlong marker but was out-kicked in the final sixteenth and had to settle for being second best. IF I CAN DREAM was out-broke by the field by a half a length and settled along the inside, steadied leaving tghe five sixteenths to the quarter pole and then moved out and swung out five wide leaving the turn and had a good late rally to best the rest. BETHEL ROAD chased the pace and was two to three wide on the turn but had no rally. BETTER DAY was away alertly and vied for the early lead on the inside and then tracked the leaders on the inside on the turn and weakened then was empty in the drive.
