ARAUCANO was away alertly and vied for the lead early, then was rated back to stalk the leader two wide, moved to the inside entering the turn and made a quick inside move leaving the three eighths to be quickly clear by the five sixteenths and opened up by the quarter pole, then was kept to pressure while drifting out late while remaining clear to prove best. EXPERT WITNESS was off slowly, chased the pace on the inside, moved out entering the turn to be three to four wide on the turn, came five wide into the lane and finished well to be clearly second best. FINAL PAYMENT stalked the pace three wide and then made a three wide bid to press the pace by the three eighths marker, then could not go with the winner to the quarter pole and finished one paced to the wire to best the rest. MAGIC RED vied for the early lead and then went on to set the pace on the inside, then set a pressured pace two wide by the three eighths marker but weakened. TEMPERATURE RISING was settled back early, two to three wide on the turn and passed the tiring rivals. DISTINGUISHED GENT chased the pace and was four to five wide on the turn and weakened. SECRET POWER raced on the outside down the backside and then angled in to be on the inside by the quarter pole but failed to menace.
