ACCELERATE ME raced up close widest down the backstretch, drew clear in the three path around the turn and widened through the lane while ridden out. MUSTANG BAY lacked early speed, advanced outside near the half-mile pole, moved into a clear second four wide around the turn and was clearly second best in the lane. SOUND OF THE BEAST chased the pace three wide, lacked a closing bid and bested the rest. DREAMS OF MYFATHER was outrun inside. SONG SO SWEET vied two wide for a half and retreated. TITAN disputed the pace three wide between rivals and was through after a half.
