STIFF DRINK stalked the leaders while saving ground, moved four wide into the lane and closed late run down the leader through deep stretch. ALTERANA stalked the pace three wide to bid and move clear into the lane then could not contain the winner's late run. OPTIMAL TRIP dropped back off the pace saving ground, moved three wide into the lane while moving up then swung back to the rail and closed late. PRINCE IS MY BOY moved up four wide but could not threaten late. TOUGH AS AN OX failed to mount a bid four wide. GLOBAL STAGE stalked the pace two wide, went four wide nearing the lane and weakened. R D C POSSE contested the early lead to move clear in the turn and weakened nearing the lane. DAD BOD stumbled at the break, vied for the early lead three wide and tired.
