SCALLYWAG settled off the pace four wide to stalk alongside a rival, came six wide into the lane and closed with a determined run to be up in the closing jumps. SIDETOWN was on the pace about the three to four path, edged clear into the lane but could not hold the winner safe late. CLASSIC BET forced the pace outside the runner up and lacked a final closing kick. SAFE BET was inside the winner stalking the pace and failed to mount a rally. MAXIMUM GRACE trailed while moving inside through the turn.
