ONE WAY OR ANOTHER broke sharply and contested the pace four and five wide to the turn, dueled outside HURRICANE LASSIE into the lane then kept on strongly to be slowly edging clear late. HURRICANE LASSIE dueled on the pace inside winner while out from the rail, dug in turning for home held the place but could not handle the winner late. TAPITURE'S LADY settled off the early pace, rallied through the turn to bid into the lane but could not get by the top pair. SWEET MOTHER MARY contested the lead three and four wide between rivals early then weakened some in the turn. LADY MAZATLAN briefly contested the pace between rivals three wide and weakened.
