LA PALABRA forced the pace four and five wide outside rivals to bid into the lane and drew clear under steady handling. AMERICAN SPLENDOR was on the pace inside rivals about the two path, came out four wide into the lane and could not go with the winner late. UNCORK IT saved ground just off the leaders to bid along the inside turning for home but lacked the needed late kick. MS BUMBLEBEE tracked the leaders four and five wide but lacked a final closing run. GLOBAL RISK contested the early lead between rivals and weakened nearing the lane.
