FIRST CLASS LADY broke on top, ceded the front to MIDNIGHT BREEZE, chased that rival to deep stretch, then went clear in the final yards. MIDNIGHT BREEZE sent hard from the break, made the front by the five-furlong pole, maintinaed an advanatage of a length or more to mid-stretch, then yielded to FIRST CLASS LADY while saving the place. SENSE OF AWE broke with the early leaders but steadily dropped back in the run down the backstretch to be last on the turn, found a good stride late, rallied and just missed getting into second. SYNOPTIC was up on the early pace, dropped back a bit on the turn, then launched a bid for the lead from the quarter pole, but flattened out in the stretch. CITY OF SECRETS broke in the air, then rushed up the inside to chase the leading trio into the turn, but was unable to sustain the run through the stretch and tired. KATABATIC WIND off slow and outrun early despite being under a ride, and was never a threat. BLUSH WITH JOY trailed early, was pulled up on the backstretch, and gradually eased to a stop just before the finish line, and walked off.
