LOVE PACK tracked the early pace, was well placed to the turn and bid three wide nearing the quarter marker, vied for the lead into the stretch, lost the lead to UNDERDRESSED inside of the furlong marker, determinedly fought back between foes into the final sixteenth, drifted out a bit in deep stretch, surged in the final yards and got up at the wire to prevail. UNDERDRESSED unhurried in the early stages, made a steady advance into the turn, bid three wide into upper stretch then weaved between rivals into the lane and took command inside of the furlong pole, led to the final sixteenth, hung a bit in deep stretch and was nailed on the wire for the win, while just holding for second. SPECIAL MOMENT settled off of the early pace, coaxed outside of rivals into the turn, loomed five wide to upper stretch, responded well in the lane and made a sustained rally to the final sixteenth, could not find more in deep stretch and just missed for the win and place, while clear of the rest for the show. CAWKAB was forwardly placed away from the start then took back off of the early pace, mounted a four wide bid nearing the quarter marker, rallied into the stretch then vied for the lead between rivals into the final furlong, was caught in tight at the sixteenth-marker, steadied and lost position to deep stretch and could not find more in the final stages. TIGERS 'N BEARS unhurried in the early going, asked for run two then three wide nearing the quarter marker, gained ground into the stretch, could not find the needed final response and finished evenly late. SEND OFF settled off of the early pace, saved ground into the turn then advance from the inside into upper stretch, navigated traffic into the final furlong, could not sustain his run to the final sixteenth and flattened out late. PAINTED LAD settled and saved ground in the early going, maintained an inside path into the turn, tipped to the two path nearing the top of the lane, lacked the needed response at mid-stretch and weakened. PASS LINE showed good speed away from the start, contested the early pace outside of PROMISE CODE then shook free of that rival approaching the turn, dictated terms to the quarter marker, was overtaken into upper stretch then faded in the final furlong. PROMISE CODE hustled away from the start, contested the early pace inside of PASS LINE, pressed that rival along the backstretch run then was repelled approaching the turn, dropped back along the bend and came up empty in the stretch drive. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN OF THIS RACE. IN ADDITION, THE JOCKEY OF CAWKAB LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST THE JOCKEY OF LOVE PACK, CLAIMING INTERFERENCE AT MID-STRETCH. THE STEWARDS RULED THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
