Footnotes
SPIRIT OF VETERANS settled off the pace, then advanced to bid for the lead three-wide near the quarter pole, chased a determined QUIXX down the lane and surged ahead in the final yards to prevail. QUIXX veered in towards the rail after the start but had the best speed, cleared early, then was pressed by CLARISIT through the turn, held on gamely through the stretch despite challenges on both sides, and just failed to last. CAHILLS REDEMPTION settled in min-pack to the inside, waited for running room late on the turn, then bid up the rail into the stretch, finished willingly but came up short in the final yards. CLARISIT moved up after the start to press QUIXX on the lead through the turn, then weakened a bit in the stretch run. SHORT SPEECH came out of the gate a bit awkwardly then bumped with the inside rival, hustled up three-wide to chase the main pack to the stretch, but was unable to threaten. EAGLE PI dropped back after the break and chased throughout.
