Footnotes
TEXAS RED BEL broke well, set a pressured pace to the stretch while being confidently ridden, responded when set down at the three-sixteenths marker, and held clear to the finish under steady handling. SUNNY SAN LEON saved ground in the middle of the tight pack, tipped out to the four-path in the stretch, and finished up well to gain second. SUCCESSFULPATH pressed the pace three-wide, loomed a threat to the stretch, then was outfinished. DARK DUTCHESS settled at the rear of the field but never too far back, saved ground to the stretch, then tipped out to the three-path for the stretch run and improved. SERIOUSLY SASSY tracked two-wide then lacked a rally. GOLDEN CITY pressed the early pace from between horses early, made a bid for the lead approaching the five-sixteenths marker, but was unable to sustain the bid through the stretch.
