CLASSIC MOMENT broke well, dueled with HALMSTAD two-wide to the quarter pole, gained the advantage in upper stretch, and drew off under a brisk hand ride and intermittent left-handed urging. LIGHTNING STRUCK settled two-deep in the back pair, then rallied late to gain second. NORTHVALE ROAD raced inside with the trailing pair, was never a threat, but saved all the ground, kept to task, and moved up late to grab the minor award. HALMSTAD broke well, dueled with CLASSIC MOMENT, yielded at the three-sixteenths marker, and weakened in the stretch.
