HOT ROUTE was last of the quintet out of the gate, then moved up three-wide around the turn to bid for the lead near the quarter pole, and finished up strong under strong handling and urging. WISHFUL WINKER was under a ride from the outset, always prominent, finished willingly, found best stride inside the sixteenth, surged late, and just missed. LAST PICK dueled with SILVAS from the start, due in when set down passing the quarter pole, battled gamely to deep stretch but was outfinished in the final yards. SILIVAS broke best but was taken on immediately by LAST PICK, dueled to the outside of that rival to mid-stretch and weakened in the final furlong. KNOTTY KITTY raced close up to the turn, then dropped back and was outrun the rest of the way.
