Footnotes
BLING IT TO ME stalked the pacesetter two-wide to the stretch, finished well on the outside of a three-way battle to the wire, and edged ahead in the last jumps. NANCY LYNN came away well, settled inside just behind the pacesetter, came up the inside into the stretch, put in a good late run, had a narrow advantage in deep stretch, but came up short at the wire. SALTWATER TAFFY raced mid-pack inside, became boxed in on the turn, tipped out three wide for the stretch run, and finished well to gain third. PHUNK was sent hard from the break to get the lead, went a length clear early, held sway to the stretch, then was overtaken in the late stages. RUBIA chased at the back early but not far behind, steadied into the turn, went four to five wide into the stretch, and could not find enough to pose a threat. RUMPUS dropped back a bit after an even start, tracked three-wide mid-pack, put in a decent finish, but was outkicked in the stretch.
