APPROPRIATED FUNDS rated off of the early pace and tracked from the second flight along the backstretch run, chased two wide and between foes into the turn, shifted three wide nearing the quarter marker, bid to upper stretch then battled MISS ARLINGTON into the final furlong, shook free of the runner-up into the final sixteenth and drew clear late. MISS ARLINGTON broke a step slowly, was sent for the early lead and set a contested pace along the backstretch run, dueled inside of IZATIZ into the turn, shook free of that rival leaving the quarter pole then met the bid of APPROPRIATED FUNDS into upper stretch, battled that rival to the final sixteenth, was repelled in deep stretch and held safely for second. GLEE settled off of the contested early pace, coaxed five wide to the quarter marker, got floated to the six path into upper stretch, closed willingly in the lane, could not reel in the top pair late and held safely at the wire for third. BLUSHING BELLE broke alertly then ceded the early lead, tracked from the second flight and was well placed while three wide nearing the turn, chased four wide to the quarter marker, drifted to the five path into upper stretch, ran in pursuit into the lane but could not muster the needed late response. HONEST took back in the early stages, tracked the pace while saving ground along the backstretch run, steadied while a bit in tight with three furlongs remaining, chased from the inside nearing the quarter marker, ran in pursuit to upper stretch, could not find more into the drive and flattened out late. IZATIZ showed good early speed, contested the pace outside of MISS ARLINGTON along the backstretch run, dueled that rival into the turn, lost position at the quarter marker, could not keep pace into upper stretch and faded in the drive.
