Footnotes
WALKERS CREEK broke alertly then rated off of the early pace, made a steady gain while three wide into the turn, continued that sustained bid into the stretch, responded well in the lane, surged in deep stretch and determinedly bested COOL AGENT to prevail. COOL AGENT was hustled to vie for the early lead, assumed command and set the pace two wide and between rivals into the turn, showed the way while under pressure heading to the quarter pole, shook free into upper stretch and dug in into the final furlong, was all out into the final sixteenth, got outfinished late by the oncoming WALKERS CREEK and was clear of the rest for second. SLAMIN SAMMIE was hustled to race close up to the early pace, stalked three wide to the turn then pressed the pace nearing the quarter marker, fought to mid-stretch, yielded in the final sixteenth and held at the wire for third. TAKE THIS CITY settled in the second flight and tracked the early pace from between foes, was well placed to the turn, swung three wide to upper stretch and chased into the stretch drive, dove to the rail in the final sixteenth, could not find the needed response in deep stretch and was outfinished for the show honors. SHOP TIME sent to contest the early pace, pressed inside of COOL AGENT heading into the turn, lost ground nearing the quarter pole, chased along the rail into the stretch and weakened in the final stages. RED DIRT ALLEY got shuffled back a bit leaving the start, settled while never far back in the early stages and saved ground into the turn, chased from the inside nearing the quarter pole, could not find more into upper stretch and tired in the lane. TEXAS BANDIT settled in the early going, coaxed three to two wide into the turn, swung four wide to upper stretch and did not factor in the drive. TEXAS TOUGH was void of early speed and trailed to the turn, shifted to the rail and saved ground along the bend, maintained an inside path to the stretch and did not offer the needed response in the drive.
