STORMY AT MIDNIGHT lunged at the start and was off a bit slowly, rushed up along the inside and took command in the early stages, set a solid pace while clear nearing the quarter marker, held a clear lead into upper stretch, kept to task past the furlong marker and held sway to the wire. ROARING RAPIDS settled off of the solid early pace and saved ground up the backstretch, maintained an inside path into the turn, angled four wide to upper stretch, finished well into the final sixteenth, could not reel in the winner in deep stretch and earned a share of the place honors. WON MORE TIME rated just off of the early pace, was well placed while three wide into the turn then ran in pursuit to upper stretch, closed willingly into the final sixteenth, could not reel in the winner in deep stretch and earned a share of the place honors. WAR SPIRIT was forwardly placed early on while outside of rivals, chased the pace three wide into the turn, ran in pursuit of STORMY AT MIDNIGHT into upper stretch, was outkicked in the final sixteenth and just missed for the minor awards. CHARMING OAKIE showed good early speed and vied for the lead along the backstretch run, chased two wide and between foes into the turn, ran in pursuit into upper stretch then could not muster the needed response in the final sixteenth. METRONOME settled off of the early pace while never far back, shifted to the four path into the turn, ran in pursuit to upper stretch and finished evenly in the drive. MONEYSTRIKE stumbled at the start and was late away from the gate, advanced between rivals approaching the turn, saved ground to upper stretch and did not factor in the drive. COMPRESSED broke out at the start and was allowed to settle early, trailed into the turn, shifted out to upper stretch and passed a pair of tiring rivals in the late stages. GYPSY MISCHIEF hustled to contest the early pace, chased STORMY AT MIDNIGHT while saving ground into the turn, ran in pursuit from the inside into upper stretch, could not find more at the furlong pole and gave way. GHURAIR'S WARRIOR was crowded at the start and off slowly, settled along the backstretch then was coaxed three wide into the turn, lacked the needed response into upper stretch and did not make a late impact.
