Footnotes
EVENING EDGE stalked SHE'S EXTRA racing in hand down the backstretch, ranged up to challenge for the lead approaching the quarter pole, dueled outside of two rivals into the stretch, put a head in front in mid-stretch, got headed by CHECKER'S SONG on the inside, then came back in the final yards to take the top prize. CHECKER'S SONG settled at the back through the early stages, made a middle move on the rail through the turn, rallied to take the lead in mid-stretch, but hung, and had to settle for the place. SHE'S EXTRA sprinted a couple of lengths clear early, battled back gamely when confronted by EVENING EDGE near the quarter pole to mid-stretch, then weakened late. DULCE AMANECER YG tracked three-wide, continued on the same path through the turn, was kept to task late but was never a threat. GLOBAL HOLIDAY broke out at the start and made contact wtih EVENING EDGE, tracked on the inside of foes to the turn, came off the rail for the stretch run but did not rally. RUN WITT RUN was very hard to load, delaying the start, tracked between horses to the turn, dropped out midway through the turn, then was eased through the stretch to the wire.
