Footnotes
HERE COMES BRAYLON made the front from the start and was left to dictate moderate early fractions, dug in when challenged by MIDNIGHT BOSS up the inside leaving the quarter pole, briefly surrendered the lead but came back on under steady handling to overtake that rival late and prevail. MIDNIGHT BOSS stalked the pacesetter to the turn, then slipped through up the inside to mount a challenge to that one near the quarter pole, put a head in front in upper stretch, battled gamely but gave way grudgingly in the final yards while finishing well clear of the third horse. RIVETAGE broke well, then tracked close up three-wide down the backstretch, then had to be coaxed along to keep up with the top pair through the turn, lost a position late on the turn, then came back on to take down the third prize. SOLEVO was a little slow into stride then held up at the rear through the early stages, raced three-wide through the turn, then swung out wider into the stretch but was unable to menace. BATTALION STRIKE hopped in the air at the start, spotted the field a head start, rushed up the rail into contention, moved up into third position late on the turn, then was outkicked in the sprint to the wire.
