Footnotes
CHASING THE RUSH broke on top then dueled with BELLO through the early stages, both set down at the top of the stretch and continued the battle to deep stretch, then edged ahead in the final yards. BELLO broke well, dueled to the inside of CHASING THE RUSH from the outset, quickened with that rival at the top of the stretch, battled gamely, then gave way in the final yards. WHEN SMOKEY SINGS came away well, then settled behind the dueling leaders, made a bid for the lead up the inside turning for home, but was outfinished. ALL COUNTRY raced close up three-wide in the middle of the pack, swung four-wide into the stretch, and ran on a bit but was not doing enough to pose a threat in the late stages. CONFIDING was outpaced early, then lacked a rally. BLINKNUMISSIT got pinched back at the start then rushed up to join the leaders heading into the turn, steadied near the three-furlong pole, dropped to last, tried to come back on in the stretch but raced on the wrong lead and faltered.
