DIXIE'S HEART broke well and as the inside horse in a three-way contest for the early pace, backed off heading into the turn, stayed to the inside, then angled out three-wide for the stretch run, responded when set down at the head of the stretch, and finished strong to pull clear of a pair of inside rivals in the final yards. SWIFTLIKETAYLOR pressed the early pace four-wide, had a head in front heading into the turn, dueled with JUDY GEMSTONE to the stretch, continued to battle through the lane, but could not hold off the winner in the late stages. JUDY GEMSTONE contested the early pace from between rivals, went on with SWIFTLIKETAYLOR to duel through the turn and into the stretch, battled bamely in the inside but came up short. CLEARLY GORGEOUS was outpaced early, saved ground through the turn, then weakened in the stretch. NORTHPARK raced between rivals behind the early pace scramble, then was outfinished in the late stages. UPTOWN JIVE tracked close up three-wide to the turn, then was outrun through the stretch. EVIL TOM was last away, chased in the three-path, then came up empty in the stretch.
