Footnotes
TAKE ACTION moved up after a slow start to press the pace, ranged up to pull even at the quarter pole, responded when set down in upper stretch, put away STRAIGHT LUCK in mid-stretch, and held sway to the wire. MY WIFE IS RIGHT got away well but was beaten to the front, moved out to the three-path for a clear run, moved up late on the turn to bid four-wide at the top of the stretch, finished well but could not close the gap on the winner. SUNDAY BLING settled three-wide near the back, tipped out five wide for the stretch run, and finished well but could not get to the top pair. STRAIGHT LUCK hustled clear, led the way through the turn under moderate pressure, dug in under a threat at the quarter pole, kept on well to the finish but was outkicked in the final yards. HEZAKOOLKAT veered out at the start, then rushed up into the pace battle, was stuck inside through the turn with no clear path, kept on with some resolve in the late stages, but was outfinished. ROCKETS RED FLAIR lacked any early speed and was last going into the turn, came four-wide into the stretch and was only able to pass tired foes. COLONEL BARTON was outpaced after the start, raced near the back behind horses, then had little to offer in the stretch. RAGS ROYAL PRINZ clipped heels when impeded by HEZAKOOLKAT after the break, advanced up the inside on the turn, came under a ride approaching the top of the stretch and weakened.
