Footnotes
POKERKNIGHTATVEES went quickly to the front, was always travelling well, shrugged off all challengers late on the turn, then opened up in the stretch and won as much the best. CHIVALROUS was held up under a tight hold tracking behind the early pace, was no match for the winner, and had a little trouble with the lead change in the stretch, but finished up well to grab the second prize. FAUSTIN tracked behind the pace two-wide, could not go with the winner late, and was outfinished for the place. DUTCH MILLS broke awkwardly, then raced inside at the back and lacked a rally. NOBLE EAGLE chased two-deep at the back of the main pack and was unable to mount a threat. INNOVATOR dwelt at the start, trailed well behind the field and was never a factor while being ridden out to the finish. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE START OF #2 INNOVATOR. AFTER A BRIEF REVIEW, THE STEWARDS RULED THAT THE HORSE WAS GIVEN EVERY OPPORTUNITY AT A FAIR START AND CAUSED ITS OWN PROBLEMS, THEREFORE NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
