Footnotes
TRUE CHIEF went quickly to the front, held sway through the turn, then finished strong under steady handling and went unchallenged to the finish. HAPPY N SMILING raced four-wide well off the early pace, then put in a good late run down the stretch to gain the place. FLYIN WITHTHE BOSS settled two-deep in the second flight, made a run at TRUE CHIEF approaching the quarter pole, could not kick on with that one from the top of the stretch, kept on well but was caught late for second and hand to settle for the minor award. AVALING dropped far behind after the start, rallied smartly through the turn and into the stretch to improve. MISS MOZETTI broke well and pressed the pace on the inside to the turn, conceded the rail going into the turn, moved out to the two-path through the turn, then drifted in and out under urging through the stretch run. STEALIN'TIME got shuffled back after the break, then was unable to keep up early despite coaxing from the rider, was well behind early, then rallied on the rail through the turn, but flattened out in mid-stretch. ON WING broke sharply, was initially on the pace, then steadily retreated through the field and was not a factor. NOW HEAR THIS raced four-wide in the middle of the field, then lacked a finish. SHE'S EXTRA reared up as the gates opened and was left behind at the start, chased the field to the finish, but was unable to regain contact.
