COURTINBYMOONLIGHT got away well to get forward position into the first turn, advanced up the rail to take command after passing the half, shrugged off the challenge of an outside rival on the turn, responded to a stroke of the crop at the top of the stretch, and drew away to win in a dominant performance. CLEVER CLEMENTINE was roused from the break but outsprinted to the first turn, settled in two-deep in mid-pack through the early stages, advanced into contention heading into the far turn, was under steady urging past the quarter pole, but outfinished the rest of the field to gain the place, though well behind the winner. SHE'S A KITTEN won the race to the first turn, held a narrow advantage through the middle stages, yielded the front to COURTINBYMOONLIGHT on the far turn, could not keep up with that one in the stretch, tired, and had to settle for the minor award. WITT'S DUBAI GAL veered outward at the break, got caught wide through the clubhouse turn, tracked to the outside mid-pack down the backstretch, lost some ground to the leaders on the far turn, but kept to task and improved. KNOTTY KITTY settled near the back and saved ground to no avail. CHIP ALTERNATIVE veered out at the start, bothering CLEMENTINE GIRL, was allowed to settle, raced at the back of the field, then moved up in the stretch.
