Footnotes
FINE FINISH got a clean brain and was quickly in front with a host of rivals in hot pursuit, cut the corner into the stretch with a length advantage, then held sway under steady handling. TIZAWIZ pressed the pace two-deep, went on with FINE FINISH approaching the quarter pole, chased gamely through the stretch, but was unable to reel in that rival while holding clear for second. BANTERRA backed out of the pace scramble after a level start, got down to the two-path for the run through the turn, then tipped out for the stretch run, finished well, but could not get to the top pair and had to settle for third, well clear of the rest. SERENADE A KITTEN was last after the break, moved up and over to the rail to race up close up to the turn, finished with interest, and was mildly gaining in the final furlong. BLING IT TO ME raced four-wide in the middle of the pack and was unable to threaten in the late stages. PHUNK steadied slightly when TIZAWIZ crossed over after the break, was pulling eagerly in the early pace mix, backed off before the turn, then steadied before the turn, lost momentum, and was unable to recover. RUMPUS was up in the early pace mix down the backstretch, then dropped back through the field on the turn and was outrun in the late stages. OK BY ME raced four-wide, then was outfinished in the stretch.
