SECRECY IS EVIL hustled to the front and was left to dictate moderate fractions under a hold, fought back when challenged after passing the three-furlong pole, dueled FALCON QUEST into the stretch, had something left for the stretch run, gained the upper hand in mid-stretch, and drew clear. FALCON QUEST stalked the pace to the far turn, moved up to share the lead approaching the three-furlong pole, responded when set down at the top of the stretch, but yielded the lead near the furlong marker and had to settle for second. GUARD OF HONOUR tracked three-wide close up to the pace, made a bid for the lead near the three-furlong pole but was outkicked in the last stages by the top two. RICKIE ROOOO STER raced two-deep near the back, went very wide on the last bend into the stretch, and failed to menace. CONFIDING settled inside at the rear of the main pack despite the slow pace, then weakened in the stretch and failed to threaten. SAY AS I SAY reared at the start, then broke awkwardly to the inside to be slow into stride, spotted the field a big head start, and was unable to recover.
