JACKMAN'S RIDE sprinted clear of the field from the start, maintained the margin through the turn, and held clear under steady handling. BALSA was coaxed forward after the start, chased JACKMAN'S RIDE through the turn, gave a good chase through the stretch, but could not close the gap. BAD BEAT BRIAN was last away, advanced three-wide around the turn, finished well but could not get to the top pair. HELLADIC broke well, raced close up into the turn, then was outfinished in the stretch in a decent effort. OOEY GOOEY CHEWY settled between horses in the third flight, dropped to last on the turn, then made a mild recovery in the stretch. NORTHVALE ROAD tracked four-wide, lacked a late bid, and went evenly through the late stages. EMPIRE OF GOLD was briefly close, then dropped back and was outkicked in the stretch.
