MO HOPE got the inside position on the first turn, set a measured pace to the far turn with a pair of rivals pressing the issue to the outside, held sway through the turn, then drew clear in the stretch under steady handling. UPTOWN TAPPIN settled two-wide behind the pace, moved up on the far turn to bid for the lead three-wide at the top of the stretch, finished well, but could not close the gap in the final yards. HASKELLED pressed the pace two-wide, quickened with MO HOPE from the three-rail pole, finished gamely, but was outfinished in the final yards. CLOUDY PAST was hustled into the early mix, pressed the pace three-wide with the front group, came under a ride midway on the turn, and was outfinished. GLOBAL HOLIDAY settled inside with the trailing pair, was close up to the far turn, then unable to keep up in the stretch.
