Footnotes
IMALUCKYCHARM was coaxed from the break to get forward position, cleared off late on the clubhouse turn then widened the lead on the backstretch run, maintained a bid lead through the far turn, then started to shorten strides in the stretch, was put to a vigorous drive and steady urging, drifted very wide in deep stretch but managed to hold on ahead of a calvary charge to the inside. OPTIMISTIC COWGIRL was allowed to settle and raced well off the pace near the back through the first half, made a steady advance four, then six wide on the far turn and into the stretch, was rapidly closing the gap in the stretch, and just missed. TAKE MY PICTURE lacked any early speed despite some coaxing from the rider, took an inside path into the far turn, then was stuck behind horses to the stretch, tipped out to the five-path, and rallied to gain the third prize. SKY ROCKER was the trailer for the first half-mile, then started to run on, circled the field four to five wide on the far turn, and finished up well. SWEET KARAT CAKE settled in second position well behind the runaway leader, then put in a good finish but was outkicked in the stretch. CAFEZINHO settled in the middle of the tracking group, came out three or four wide in the stretch, finished with interest but came up well short. BLOOD ORANGE saved ground throughout, raced in the middle of the pack to the stretch, then was outkicked to the wire. BLUE HEAVENLY raced in the middle of the pack two-deep, then lacked a finish. KISSIN RICHES showed good speed from the break and vied into the first turn, settled three-wide near the front of the main pack, came under a ride approaching the quarter pole, but lacked a response and faded in the lane. RUBY CANTU came away from the gate in good order, was forwardly placed near the front of the tracking group, and steadily retreated through the field late on the far turn.
