Footnotes
BOURBON CURIOSITY settled behind the pace battle, bided time heading into the turn with no clear path, then tipped out three-wide approaching the quarter pole, became the outside horse in a three-way battle down the stretch, then edged ahead in the final yards to prevail. TOM SAWYER dueled inside a rival from the outset, kept on well to the finish but was headed in the final jumps. EL ROJO VIVO dueled outside of TOM SAWYER from the start, battled gamely to the finish but cane up a bit short in a good effort. CHIVALROUS raced four-wide at the rear, continued that path through the turn, then was mildly gaining in the stretch while racing the left lead. LORD OF RHYMES was the inside horse of three at the back saved ground through the turn then flattened out in the stretch and did not threaten. DUTCH MILLS raced between horses at the back of the ack and lacked a finish. C'MON CHAOS raced three-wide just off the dueling leaders for the first quarter mile, was under a steady drive, started to lose ground on the turn, then was outrun through the stretch.
