Footnotes
IMMA GOING TO WIN tracked the pace along the inside through the early running, slipped through an opening along the rail at the three-sixteenths marker, surged clear in upper stretch, and drew away in the late stages. MILLIE G pressed the pace three-wide under a light hold, was let loose into the turn, then responded when set down in upper stretch, could not go with the eventual winner but ran down the early leader to win a tight battle for second. HOT PINK made the lead coming out of the chute, went a length clear with small horde in close pursuit through the turn, was set down at the quarter pole, came into the stretch with a short lead but left the rail open for IMMA GOING TO WIN, could not match strides with that one in the final furlong and was outfinished by an outside rival for the place. RADIO GOO GOO was outrun from the start, trailed early, got a clean run through the turn along the rail, and improved position. GOSPEL TIZ GOT broke well but did not get involved in the early pace, lost some ground on the turn, stayed to the outside, then ran on some in the late stages to improve. HOT ROUTE gave an even effort but did not threaten at any point in the race. RON'S LAVENDER was off a step slow, stayed in the two-path through the turn, moved up but was never a serious threat. LAST PENALTY raced in mid-pack and lacked a significant finishing kick. TOO MUCH GUITAR stalked the pace three-wide, started to retreat midway through the turn, then had little to offer in the stretch. MISS MAVIS was forwardly placed to the turn, then backed off through the field to the rear, and was outrun through the stretch.
