Footnotes
CHEERS TO CANDY was sent for and gained the early lead, replied a challenge from KARANTHOS at the quarter pole, responded to strong handling in the stretch and was widening the margin in the final yards. KARANTHOS broke well and tracked just behind CHEERS TO CANDY, moved to challenge for the lead at the quarter pole but was rebuffed, chased the winner home then fended off a stiff challenge from a rival to hold the place. TIZ ANOTHER BUNNY shuffled back at the start and was last away but recovered to gain contention on the turn, tipped out a path in the stretch and finished up well under steady handling but could not get by KANTHAROS in the final yards. WORK ZONE raced three wide at the back of the compact field to the turn, finished evenly well behind the winner and was never a factor. INSTANT KARMA raced in the middle of the tight field, bid three wide on the turn from the three furlong marker then went flat in the stretch. THE LAST MOXY broke well and was briefly up with the leaders early, started to lose ground heading into the turn and was unable to improve position from that point. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
