Footnotes
GO PURPLE cleared the field from the outside post, opened up on the turn under confident handling, then responded to steady handling to hold clear to the wire. DARK DUTCHESS dropped back to last after the break, started to rally with three furlongs to run, gave a good effort in pursuit of the early leader, was closing the margin in the late stages, but ran out of time. ANNA'S DREAM got away well, chased along the rail, came under a ride past the quarter pole, and went evenly in the stretch to save third. OK BY ME raced between horses in the tracking group dropped off the pace on the turn and was outfinished in the stretch. BALI GIRLEE raced three-wide throughout, came five-wide into the stretch and was unable to threaten.
