CARIBBEAN DREAM broke well, was coaxed along down the backstretch to keep close to the early leader, moved up to challenge for the lead on the turn, met no resistance, came into the stretch well clear of the rest, and widened the margin under steady handling and urging. TIZ ANOTHER BUNNY settled four-wide well off the pace, angled to the two-path for the run through the turn, then rallied in the stretch to be just up for second. TRANSOM BAY chased inside while under handling from the start, tipped out to the three-path for the stretch run, was all-out to hold second but got out-nodded at the line. COAL STONE last away, raced far back then passed tired foes in the stretch. WIN'S IMAGE shied from RAPID RETURN at the start, lacked any early initiative, trailed far back and was never a factor. RAPID RETURN veered out into the path of the outside rival, but sprinted to the lead, got some pressure early on the turn from CARIBBEAN DREAM, gave way readily midway through the turn, then stopped to a walk in the stretch.
