HAP HOT broke inward after the start and put BALSA in tight, then raced just off the flank of JACKMAN'S RIDE, content to let that foe lead the way through the turn, ranged up approaching the quarter pole, found a resurgent foe, did battle for the length of the stretch, got a head in front passing the sixteenth pole and prevailed while setting a new track record for the distance. JACKMAN'S RIDE was hustled to the front with HAP HOT always in close pursuit, led the field to the quarter pole, fought back when challenged by HAP HOT at the top of the stretch then was overtaken inside the sixteenth in a stellar effort. TRUST DADDY hopped at the start and was last early, steadily advanced down the backstretch and through the turn, put in a strong finish late to be along for third while no threat to the top two. BANDERA AZTECA tracked on the rail behind the dueling leaders, came under a stiff ride approaching the quarter pole and finished evenly in the stretch. BALSA got sandwiched between horse a couple of strides out of the gate, raced mid-pack while being ridden ever step of the way, chased three wide into the stretch but could not make an impact. SPEIGHT AND MALICE lacked speed and was last early racing about three wide, was kept to task down the stretch and managed to pass a couple in the late stages. PRAYFORPEACE chased three wide near the back of the field down the backstretch, struggled to keep up on the turn and could not improve late. TALK ABOUT AUTISM broke out a bit making light contact with BALSA, raced near the rear through the early going, kept to the inside through the turn, stayed on the left lead and was outfinished.
