Footnotes
GRAND PRAIRIE GAL settled inside, bided time under a light hold down the backstretch, went into a stiff drive on the far turn and was not making much progress then came under relentless right handed urging in upper stretch, gradually gained on the leading pair and got to the wire just in time. FELLA'S SISTER won the race to the first turn then was inside on or near the front in a very compact field, took a short lead in upper stretch held an outside rival at bay through the final furlong but was caught at the wire by the winner. DESERT GLOW pressed FELLA'S SISTER through moderate fractions from the first turn to the last bend, could not match strides with that rival in the stretch and lost the place in the final yards. WILBURNSCLASSYLADY broke a step slow and was roused to keep up with the early pace then was two to three wide just a length or two behind the pace as the field was bunched up for much of the contest, launched a four wide bid on the far turn, loomed approaching the quarter pole then came under pressure and went a bit flat in the stretch. TURA LURA was hustled to get forward position, went five wide into the first turn, tracked three wide to the far turn then had little to offer in the stretch. SAN MATEO KAT was last but close to the front in the tightly bunched field, started to lose ground on the far turn and was not a factor from that point.
