TRIBE was off a step slow then unhurried from the break, advanced steadily up the rail down the backstretch and trough the turn, tipped out to the two path at the top of the stretch and finished with good energy under steady handling and urging to be along in plenty of time. ZIPPY SEASON shied from the rival in the next stall at the break, then rushed up inside and took the early lead then sped clear by about five lengths before the turn, maintained the margin through the turn, was still well clear in mid-stretch then started to shorten strides and capitulated in the final yards. PEBBLES B AWESOME was part of the early mix then inside with the second flight heading into the turn, launched a bid from the five-sixteenths, came four to five wide into the stretch, finished under strong handling and urging and earned the show. LEMON MARMALADE bobbled slightly at the start then raced with the second flight behind the pacesetters, lost position on the turn then came back under steady urging and just missed a minor award. WEST TEXAS RUBY raced mid-pack towards the inside through the early stages, kept to task and picked off some rivals with mild late interest in the stretch. JOYFUL PURSUIT raced on the outside of the third flight down the backstretch, was four wide through the turn and finished evenly just ahead of a rival. ALONG CAME THUNDER devoid of early speed, raced at the back through the early stages, made a mild bid five wide on the turn but could not make up any ground in the stretch. WESTERN SKY broke inward and into the path of NO MORO HERE, settled well off the pace and three to four wide, was still near the rear going into the turn then improved position with some belated interest while not posing a serious threat. NO MORO HERE got knocked off stride by MY LAST CHANCE at the break, then came away last, saved ground, kept to task late and passed a few in the stretch. MY LAST CHANCE was hard to load then broke out at the start and slammed into NO MORO HERE, re-gathered then rushed up to join the main pack before the half, languished at the rear and could not improve. ICED UP broke well and was up with the leaders early, chased ZIPPY SEASON through the turn then was overtaken at the quarter pole and was not a factor from that point. BREEZY BAY broke well and was briefly close up while three to five wide down the backstretch, tried to launch a rally from the three furlong marker but did not respond and had nothing left for the stretch run. GOSPEL STUNNING broke inward at the start but was hustled away and led through the initial furlong, ceded the lead to ZIPPY SEASON at the half, began a steady fade through the field on the turn and had nothing to offer in the stretch.
