BALMORHEA was held up in the early stages, raced along the rail in the middle of the pack under a light hold, was without a clear path forward heading into the far turn, tipped out four-wide into the stretch, and finished up well with a late surge to get up. SHE'S A GOLD LADY raced close up in the two path through the early stages, just off the outside flank of MISS MOZETTI, was content to let that one dicatate the fractions, responded when asked to go after that one late on the far turn, outfinished that rival in a solid effort, but could not match the late charge of the winner. MISS MOZETTI was first to cross the main course, led the way through moderate splits with only mild pressure from SHE'S A GOLD LADY, had something left when called upon leaving the quarter pole, battled gamely through the stretch run, but yielded in the final yards. HOLLYWOODBOULEVARD tracked in mid-pack two deep to the far turn, started a bid midway through the far turn, loomed a big threat in upper stretch under a drive but was outkicked in the final furlong. TAPS MISTRESS hopped slightly at the start and brushed with the outside rival, settled at the back, then finished up with some interest and was mildly gaining ground in the late stages. AIRO DINERO went three-wide into the first turn, settled in the back half of the field down the backstretch, came five-wide into the stretch but did not rally. ATHENA D'ORO raced close up along the inside while under stout restraint, then lacked the needed response when asked in the stretch.
