Footnotes
FLASHOUT was roused at the break and sent hard to seize the early lead, raced about two paths off the rail to the turn, maintained a clear advantage through the turn, then sprinted away when set down in the stretch to prevail as much the best. GRIND JIM broke out at the start and brushed with WITT'S TEN TOUCH, was the distant trailer to the stretch, then rallied five-wide to gain second. OBVIOUS CONCLUSION lost the path just after the start, steadied, spotted the rest a head start and chased behind the main pack, took an inside path through the turn, and rallied past tired rivals in the stretch, and just missed getting second. CHARLIE DONT SURF broke on top but was overtaken by FLASHOUT before a furlong, chased that rival into the turn, came under pressure leaving the quarter pole, then weakened late to drop out of the money. WITT'S TEN TOUCH raced close up along the rail to the turn, had a big opening along the rail turning for home, but was unable to quicken despite steady urging, and weakened in the last furlong. OLD MONEY dropped back after a level start, raced five-wide throughout and failed to threaten. RACE AROUND pressed the early pace three-wide, loomed a threat past the quarter pole but weakened in upper stretch and was unable to threaten late. LITTLE LEE raced in the middle of the pack four-wide to the stretch, made a mild advance on the turn, then lacked a finish and faded. FOLLOWMEIFYOUCAN got pinched batk at the start, then was under a ride to stay in range of the pack, raced at the back of the main pack for a quarter mile, then was done early and had nothing to offer late.
