Footnotes
BOLTORO stalked the pace three wide to the far turn, ranged up late on that turn to bid for the lead, turned for home three wide and finished up well under steady handling, edged clear in mid-stretch and was widening in the final yards. KAMIKAZE settled near the back while keeping to the inside, launched a bid with three furlongs to run, tipped out to the three path for the stretch run, produced a steady rally under strong handling to get up for second. UTSIRA settled in the middle of the pack early, went into a stiff drive from the five-sixteenths pole came three wide into the stretch and was closing on the leaders but was too late. CONTESSA'S SONG was first into the turn and led the field onto the backstretch, quickened when challenged leaving the half, maintained a short lead into the lane, battled gamely to deep stretch then weakened late. CHARLUCHE stalked the pace racing between horses, bid for the lead from the quarter pole, dug in gamely through the stretch then gave way late. GOSPEL B. HAVIOR was last into the first turn, lagged at the rear of the field, dropped further behind through the far turn then had nothing to offer in the stretch. CHAINSAW CITY raced two to three wide at the back of the pack, dropped to last after a half-mile then came back a little when put into a drive but was unable to threaten.
