Footnotes
KING ARTHUR RIDGE had only one rival behind through the early stages, settled well behind for the first half-mile, was stuck behind a wall of horses in upper stretch, angled out to the four-path in mid-stretch, then surged late to take the money. MANOR BORN raced two-wide in the second flight, tracked the leaders to the far turn, finished up well despite getting bumped and leaned on by KENTUCKY DAWN in deep stretch. CINCO RICHIE veered out at the start, then aced two-wide just off the flank of SHOGUN BE FAST, got a head in front entering the stretch and battled gamely but came up short. KENTUCKY DAWN away well, tucked in behind the pacesetters through the early running, got boxed in midway through the turn and into upper stretch, steadied in traffic in deep stretch but kept on to the wire. SHOGUN BE FAST was under some coaxing to get forward position from the start, went clear of the rest in tandem with CINCO RICHIE to the half, set a lively pace, then battled back when confronted by several challengers near the quarter pole, and was still with a chance until the last jumps. TAP TO CONNECT lost the path early, then allowed to settle from the break, raced in mid-pack early, loomed a threat approaching the quarter pole, then lacked a response when called upon in the stretch. SEND OFF lacked any early speed, raced near the rear of the field, and lacked a rally. HIT ONE OUT took up after the start, was off slowly and trailed througout.
