Footnotes
TURN NORTH broke well and was briefly with the early leaders, backed off to a mid-pack tracking position while caught five wide down the backstretch, advanced into contention heading into the turn, was able to drop down to the two path by the quarter pole, took command at the top of the stretch and widened under steady handling. PROVEN ADVOCATE was close up but caught four wide early, made a bid for the lead near the quarter pole then proved no match for the winner in the stretch but kept to task and finished well clear of the third horse. RAROTONGA was two deep in the middle of the pack through the early stages, got an inside run through the turn and finished best of the rest. BUBBA'S RECKLESS gained the early lead and held a lead into the turn, gave way passing the quarter pole, then soldiered on down the stretch on good courage. YO SOY ROY struggled to keep up early, launched a bid on the far turn, came seven wide into the stretch and was mildly gaining in the middle of the track down the lane. RU MOR STARTER raced mid-pack inside, angled out for room late on the turn but lacked a rally. PAINTED LAD outrun early, moved to the rail when clear, regained contact with the field near the quarter pole but was unable to threaten. BABY OF THE FAMILY raced between horses contesting the early pace, dropped out of contention leaving the five-sixteenths marker and had nothing to offer in the stretch. SPARRA was just off the lead holding the inside path heading into the turn, steadied in traffic at the quarter pole then shifted out but drifted six wide at the top of the stretch and was unable to make an impact.
