LEILA MAE ducked out at the start, then seized the early lead, held sway through the turn with the rider completely still in the saddle, then drew clear in the stretch to win by a nearly pole without ever being asked. QUICK AND CLASSY off slow, chased at the rear of the main pack down the backstretch, and weakened in the late stages. TAP NOW tracked four-wide behind the trio up front, ranged up towards the leaders approaching the quarter pole, then flattened out in upper stretch. ALYDAN had good speed from the break, went with LEILA MAY for the first quarter mile, then could not quicken away with that one from the three-furlong pole, and weakened in the stretch. KATABATIC WIND was sent hard from the break into the early pace but was unable to contest, raced mid-pack to the stretch, then tired. PARTY TRICK was impeded by LEILA MAY right out of the gate and was off slow, dropped far behind early, regained contact with the field going into the turn, but had little to offer in the stretch.
