VIETNAM VICTORY was unable to contest the early pace, settled off the pace through the early stages, moved up three-wide through the turn, then came four-wide into the stretch, chased CHIEF BRADY through the final furlong, and got a favorable bob of the head at the wire to prevail. CHIEF BRADY stumbled at the start, then moved up to race just behind the early pace, made a forward move three-wide through the turn, pulled even with the leaders in upper stretch, got a head in front late, then came up on the short end of the photo. FORT HOOD had good speed from the break and dueled with the inside rival through the early stages, kept on well to outfinish that rival but was overtaken in the final yards. SUNDAY BLING broke well and vied for the lead from the rail, got boxed in through the turn and into deep stretch, got clear too late. ALGEBRA came away well and dueled inside of FORT HOOD to the stretch, had a narrow advantage passing the three-sixteenths marker but weaked a bit in the final furlong. RIPSTER dropped back after a level start, fell far behind, and never threatened. SLIM JIMMY broke behind the field was always outrun.
