Footnotes
FAUSTIN settled up close along the rail, was content to track just behind the leading trio, then angled out four wide near the quarter pole to bid for the lead, was briefly on the wrong lead, then switched over in upper stretch and went clear under steady handling. ONE TIME MARK moved up after the start to press the pace two-wide down the backstretch, put a head in front mid-way through the far turn, dug in under a threat from rivals to the outside, could not match the winner in the final furlong but finished well to hold the place. AUSTIN CRUISE raced in mid-pack,then finished up well to gain the third prize. RIVETAGE was pinched back after the starth, then very slow to get up to speed, was immediately far behind, regained contact on the far turn, circled the field, came five-wide into the stretch, and was gaining some ground in the late stages. START MO UP settled inside near the back and was mildly gaining ground in the end. AS ONE DOES had natural speed to press the pace three wide in-hand, came under pressure near the quarter pole, and weakened in the final furlong. MOHAYMEN HOLIDAY had the best speed and seized the early lead, was joined by a pair of rivals turning up the backstretch, started to weaken approaching the quarter pole, and tired in the stretch. ZORRO D' ORO took a slight hop as the gates opened and spotted the rest a head start, settled near the back, launched a bid with three-furlongs to go but was outkicked in the late stages.
