WOW THAT'S HOT was not asked for speed from the break and allowed to settle, was kept near the rear of the field to the far turn, launched a bid approaching the quarter pole, came four-wide into the stretch, dueled through the final furlong with TREVAGGIO and got a favorable bob at the wire to win a very tight photo. TREVAGGIO was held up in tight quarters through the clubhouse turn, settled mid-pack up the backstretch, moved up within range of the leaders midway through the far turn, then came out three-wide at the top of the stretch, responded to strong handling, had the lead inside the furlong marker but came up on the short end of the photo. GOLD PRIZE unhurried from the break, started to run on from the three-furlong pole, navigated an inside run through the far turn, then swung out five-wide into the stretch and put in a strong finish to gain third. RUDDY BUDDY raced at the back, came running in the stretch, but was too late. NEWS AT NINE pressed two-wide through the early stages, got a head in front at the top of the stretch but was overtaken with a furlong to go. DOMINANT SPIRIT was first into the turn, led the way with NEWS AT NINE a constant presence to the outside, battled back when challenged by that rival at the quarter pole, then yielded to others inside the furlong marker. BERGEN pulled four-wide through the first turn, started to struggle after passing the half, and had little to offer in the stretch run.
