KAMIKAZE ducked in at the start, making light contact with the inside rival, then settled in a stalking position behind LADY AUTHENTIC, kept that one in range up the backstretch, then launched a bid midway through the far turn, collared that leader in mid-stretch, and pulled clear in the final yards. FICKLE MISTRESS missed the break, then was unhurried early, raced near the back for the first half-mile, circled the field on the far turn, and sustained the run through the stretch to move up into second. PRONUNCIATION settled well off the pace early, was not making much progress through the middle stages, then found best stride late, rallied, and just missed second. LADY AUTHENTIC seized the early advantage and led the way in the clear through solid fractions, maintained the clear margin through the far turn, battled back under threat from KAMIKAZE in upper stretch, but yielded in the final furlong. STRIKE THE BELL went four-wide on the first turn, advanced from the middle of the pack to be in third position going into the far turn, was under a hard ride but unable to close the gap on the leaders, and was overtaken in the late stages. BELMIRA got caught four-wide on the first turn, settled in mid-pack on the backstretch run, launched a bid under a stiff drive on the far turn, kept on through the stretch, but was not doing enough late to threaten. PAROLA SICURA secured a position along the rail but was lacking any early initiative, made a mild advance heading into the far turn but was unable to sustain the forward move. GOSPEL TIZ GOT was not asked for speed from the break, settled at the back, and did not offer a late bid. CINNAMON SUGAR settled mid-pack along the rail, then dropped out early on the last turn and lacked a finish. LAST PENALTY raced in third position under cover through the first half, then started to retreat on the far turn and had nothing left in the stretch. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
