STREET JETT got squeezed athte start, then tracked off the pace between the leaders and trailers, came out three-wide into the stretch, produced a steady, determined rally, and ran down GUS CAUSE in the shadow of the wire. GUS CAUSE settled well off the pace along the rail, cut the corner turning for home, then angled out to the four-path, took the lead inside the furlong marker, but could not hold off the winner in the last jumps. TRANSOM BAY stalked the pace two-wide, assumed the lead in upper stretch but was overtaken in the final furlong. FAIR WEATHER FLYER veered out at the start, making contact with STREET JETT, settled at the back, was still far behind turning for home, then found best stride late and improved. TAKE THIS CITY stalked the early leader from the inside, was always close, then was outkicked in the stretch. FIFTYSHADESOFNAUTI was sent aggressively to get to the front, led the way to the stretch, and tired. ROWDY AMERICAN ducked in at the start, making contact with the inside rival, raced near the back after than, and never fired. BOONE lacked any interest early and never offered a late bid. CAHILL'S LEGACY was a bit rank after the start and going into the first turn and was never a factor.
